As fifteen percent of Paraguay is covered in water, it is alarming to know that the Paraguayan Pantanal is an ecosystem is being destroyed.

Since many of the indigenous peoples of Paraguay survive by fishing from the waterways, it is sad to know that their source of subsistence is being destroyed.

Some actions have been taken to help protect the ecosystem and preserve the Pantanal.
